Elevator Pitch No. 1
The RTS buses here in Gainesville are absolutely horrible on the weekends. Not enough are running and not enough are going to the places you need to go. You have to wait upwards of 30 minutes between buses and lets not forget you're stranded after 6 p.m. My solution: Swift, a 24/7 weekend shuttle service for students who need to get where the need to go no matter the hour of day in a timely fashion.

ReplyDeleteSo let me start by saying that I love the idea. As someone who has no car and relies on the RTS system to get around campus, I do feel frustrated with the service sometimes. You are also absolutely correct about the weekends. I often find myself walking a couple of miles every day just because its faster/more convenient than the bus.

So funny story, the guy that i peer reviewed right before you had pretty much the exact same idea, so I'll ask similar questions. How is this different from getting an Uber van and splitting the fare? Will it be cheaper? How are you going to monetize it? Will you sell it to the school? I truly love the idea, I'm justb trying to help you reach the next level. here is mine:
